The Energy & Mineral Law Foundation will hold its 43rd Annual Institute in a great destination for food lovers—Amelia Island, Florida—from June 12-14, 2022. As you would expect for a Florida beach resort, Amelia Island offers a variety of excellent options for fresh seafood, tropical fruit, and local citrus in casual settings. In addition, Amelia Island’s dining options include Spanish and Portuguese flavors at a tapas restaurant that offers both inside and patio dining. Casual beach and bar dining is available, as well as a bakery that offers cookies, pastries, cupcakes, and pies.
Other options include a gourmet chocolate shop, an organic café and juice bar, and the opportunity for Mexican dining for anyone craving tacos, tostadas, tortas, or Mexican cocktails. Another restaurant specializes in fresh burgers, hand-cut fries, and milkshakes, while yet another option is a fine dining steak and seafood restaurant. Amelia Island also has a high-quality sushi restaurant and a local brewery that serves beer at its tap room. In addition, Amelia Island is home to Florida’s oldest saloon and a distillery. Of course, pizza and pool side dining are available, as are food items that would make for a great picnic!
Previous issues of EMLF’s newsletter discussed the multitude of historic sites and the numerous options for outdoor recreation. Amelia Island provides a superb location for a family vacation. And, as always, EMLF’s Annual Institute will provide two days of topical continuing legal education.
