What is your area of practice? Oil and gas litigation
How did you get involved in that area of law? My dad did government affairs work for an oil and gas company and suggested I look into the area after moving to Pittsburgh for school.
How much of your time is spent representing clients in the coal, oil and gas, or other energy industries? Probably 75% on average

You have spoken at a couple of EMLF events and have been involved in EMLF committees. Has that involvement benefited you? Yes, I have enjoyed getting to know other attorneys in the industry and learning about the interests and needs of companies in this field.
Looking back, what two or three things have been most helpful to you in developing as a lawyer and as a young member of your firm? Excellent mentoring, attending events to learn about the industry and business of our clients, and stepping outside my comfort zone to take on challenging opportunities in the practice of law.
Is there any advice you would give to new lawyers and law students who are about to become lawyers? I would pass on the best advice I received, which is that if something is challenging enough to make you feel a little uncomfortable, you should feel confident that you are doing the right thing and should continue to push yourself further.
