East Kentucky Power Cooperative Joins November Webinar

2 p.m. November 16, 2022 EST

As the federal government incentivizes electric vehicle production and some states set transition goals, join EMLF for a webinar discussing charging station infrastructure, grid impacts, and other key considerations in the future of electric vehicles.

Clark Hill’s Stephen Campbell will present an overview of practical and legal considerations typically arising during the life cycle of an electric vehicle charging station project. This would include preinstallation considerations involving land control and incentives, installation issues such as necessary permitting, construction practices, and utility coordination, operation and maintenance issues over the life of the project’s service, and end-of-life issues such as charging station removal and potential remediation concerns.

We’ll also hear from Tom Castle, Supervisor of Corporate Technical Services at East Kentucky Power Cooperative. EKPC and its 16 member systems provide electrical power to 1.1 million Kentuckians. Castle will discuss anticipated impact to the power grid and what preparations are being made from EKPC’s perspective.
