Early Bird Registration Rates Extended
Due to the 4th of July holiday weekend, the EMLF will extend the early bird registration rate one additional week through Friday, July 9, for the Climate Change Course, August 2-4, and the Coal Law Short Course, August 1-4 at the West Virginia University College of Law.  To register online for these programs or to download the brochure or registration forms, go to www.emlf.org.

Included in the Coal Law Short Course is a mid-day field trip to the WVU Department of Mining Extension’s state-of-the-art simulated underground coal mine.  Dedicated in October 2009 with mining equipment and rescue chamber donated by area coal companies (CONSOL, Alpha Natural Resources, Patriot Coal, Murray Energy, HSC Industrial, and Joy Continental), the simulated underground coal mine facility  is used for specialized training for new miners and mine rescue teams, with the capability to provide live fire training.

Waterfront Hotel Room Block Extended
The Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown has agreed to hold the EMLF room block at the $109 rate for the Climate Change Course and the Coal Law Short Course through Saturday, July 17.  To make reservations, call 304.296.1700 and mention the EMLF room block.
