Winter Workshops on Energy Law – January 25-27, 2007
The Winter Workshops on Energy Law are January 25-27 at the Lago Mar Resort and Club, 1700 South Ocean Lane, Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Sessions cover electric power, coal, natural gas,  a full Friday afternoon session covering climate change and CO2 issues,  one hour of professional ethics, legal representation issues in mine safety cases, and a panel on financing energy projects.  The program has 710 minutes of continuing legal education — approximately 14.3 CLE credits in 50-minute states and 11.9 CLE credits in 60-minute states, including 1 hour of ethics.

Landman’s Special Institute – March 8, 2007
Mark your calendar for the Special Institute for Landmen at the Days Inn Convention Center in Flatwoods, WV, on March 8, in conjunction with the monthly dinner meeting of the MLB Chapter of Landmen.   Sean Cassidy is chairing this program, which focuses on selected provisions of  the oil and gas lease, coalbed methane lease, and issues related to descent and distribution.  Watch the EMLF website at www.emlf.org for more details and registration information.
