Call for Presenters and Papers

This year has demonstrated the need to be mobile in EMLF’s mission to provide high-quality material for its members.  Over the past several months, the EMLF Online Programming Committee has worked to prepare a standing series of monthly webinars set to begin in January of 2021.

Webinar Presenters

The Committee welcomes proposals from EMLF members interested volunteering as presenters for these webinars in the first quarter of 2021 by November 30, 2020.  As part of the proposal, EMLF asks that the submission include the name of the presenter(s), the topic to be analyzed, the importance of that topic to EMLF’s members, and an estimate of the duration of the webinar.  We also seek to put on current events webinars to address any breaking news (e.g. court decisions, rule promulgation).  If you are willing to be “on call” to provide one of these such webinars, please let us know and indicate your particular areas of expertise.  Please submit proposals to Anna at anna@emlf.org.

The Online Programming Committee is hopeful that this initiative will grant an opportunity to present for newer members to the organization, and create avenues for collaboration with more senior members. EMLF will work with presenters to obtain CLE accreditation for the webinar and the webinar will be offered both live and through a subsequent online link for member use.

And the deadline for submitting papers has been extended to December 16, 2020!
