Jesse Davis is in his third year at Appalachian School of Law and is a recipient of the EMLF General Fund Scholarship.
He says living in an area where natural resources and community needs often intersect – and how important it is to have lawyers who care about both the environment and progress. This summer, he worked at the Pender and Coward Law Firm getting hands-on experience in environmental litigation, focusing on water rights law with experienced lawyers and working on cases that protect our water and communities.
“In the future, I want to be a lawyer who helps people and businesses follow environmental rules while finding smart ways to care for our planet,” Davis said in his personal statement in his scholarship application.
