Trevor Hinkle is going into his third year at West Virginia University College of Law, and he’s a recipient of the EMLF General Fund Scholarship.

Hinkle grew up in West Virginia in the midst of the Marcellus Shale boom, and many of his friends work in the energy industry. He has attended NAPE in Houston, has interned as a landman, and appreciates how close knit the energy community is.

“I would not be where I am today without the help from my many professors, landman, abstractors, and energy attorneys that have guided me along the way through undergrad and law school,” Hinkle said. “Looking towards the future, I know I can really contribute to the energy industry. I believe my unique background as a resident of the oil and gas community, a landman, and my knowledge in energy law will allow me the opportunity to become a reliable member of an energy legal team.”
