Gage Herb is going into his third year at West Virginia University College of Law and is a recipient of an EMLF General Fund Scholarship.

Herb says he became interested in energy law working as a summer associate for Bowles Rice on a temporary cessation of production doctrine litigation project.

“Growing up in Marietta, Ohio, located within the heart of the Appalachian region, I have witnessed firsthand the impact of the energy industry on the local community and its economy,” Herb said. “Personally, the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the Appalachian region is the most attractive aspects of a career in energy and mineral law.”
