About Our Sponsorships

Screen Shot 2022 12 07 At 11.21.54 AM ‌

Sponsorships help provide the high-quality educational programming that the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation produces each year. Sponsorships also defray the costs of important networking opportunities at the in-person conferences, such as receptions and breakfasts, and the technology used for virtual programming. Sponsors are recognized at all programming for their contribution to the success of EMLF, as well as on the website and in printed and electronic communications, and have their logo prominently placed during the sponsored conference.

EMLF offers three levels of annual sponsorship, which also help to support the organization through the planning and execution of its conferences: the Power Patron, an exclusive sponsorship, as well as Pillar Patrons and Production Patrons.

Conference-specific sponsorships are also available in 2023, with EMLF planning four in-person conferences, including the 44th Annual Institute in Charleston, SC, and the Fall Symposium in Lexington, Kentucky.

About EMLF Attendees

‌ Schetroma

Your sponsorship puts your organization in front of our large and diverse membership. EMLF’s membership and conference attendees are not just law firms! Members of EMLF also hail from private energy companies, non-profit organizations, state and federal governments, and educational institutions. Approximately one-third of our member organizations are private energy corporations, while nearly 20% are educational institutions, government agencies, or non-profit organizations.

EMLF held four in-person events in 2022, as well as several webinars and virtual workshops. We reached nearly 700 attendees, approximately one half of which were from private energy companies, government agencies, non-profit organizations, or educational institutions, while the remainder were from law firms across the country. In 2023, we plan to continue a mix of in-person and virtual programming, which will maximize the effectiveness of your annual sponsorship.

2023 Programming

Here’s what we are currently planning for 2023:

Webinars

With topics submitted by members and derived from current events, regular webinars provide additional educational content for members and colleagues, and create a great sponsorship opportunity as well!  There will be at least six webinars in 2023, and include a variety of legal, practical, and business development topics.

Regional Workshops- Spring 2023

EMLF’s programming comes to you! Combining a few hours of CLE with a networking event, this new programming from EMLF will travel to several central locations in March and April.

44th Annual Institute- June 18-20, 2023, Charleston, South Carolina

EMLF’s flagship program returns to one of our favorite destinations this year, and includes a wide variety of educational programs and networking events.

Fall Symposium- October 2023

Formerly the Kentucky Mineral Law Conference, EMLF’s regular fall meeting focuses on practical legal topics for energy law practitioners across the spectrum.

AAPL/EMLF Joint Land Institute- Fall 2023

This one-day conference is a partnership between AAPL and EMLF covering land use and acquisition topics.
