Call for Topics, Speakers and Planning Committee Members for the Annual Institute

A consistent response to our survey about the EMLF Annual Institute last June in Memphis was attendees were just glad to see their peers and friends in person.

Some brought family and turned it into a vacation to remember.

This year, join us for the sun and gorgeous beaches of Amelia Island at the 43rd Annual Institute, to be held June 12-14, 2022.

Pictured is historic Nassau County Courthouse on Centre Street in Fernandina Beach, a part of vanishing "Old Florida." The courthouse has served the island since 1891 and is the state's second oldest.

EMLF is calling for topics, speaker proposals and volunteers to participate in planning for the institute and to act as coordinators during the event.

This is an opportunity to request a topic you're passionate about, promote a great speaker (self-nominations accepted) or meet new people interested in what EMLF does: promote education and provide opportunities for career development and networking.

Topics should cover some aspect of energy production (including coal and other minerals, oil and gas, and renewable sources) or power generation, including general corporate issues such as labor and employment, diversity and inclusion, financing and market trends, land use and acquisition, and others.

We also address topics that address attorney ethics, practice management, and mental health. Topics must include a brief description of the subject to be covered, and if available, should include a title and proposed speaker.
