The program begins with an overview of the industry, and explains the demand for new midstream infrastructure. Program topics include the regulatory framework for the midstream sector, transportation safety issues, and the complex web of environmental regulations that applies to midstream projects; buying, siting, and zoning midstream facilities, right of way acquisition, and Master Limited Partnerships and the outlook for MLPs in light of the fall in oil prices. That’s just the first day. The luncheon speaker on Day 1 is Michael Krancer, a prominent and popular speaker and writer who is recognized for his practical thought leadership on a wide range of energy policy issues, including the emerging global geopolitical importance of Pennsylvania shale gas and energy resources.
The second day provides an overview of gas gathering agreements, natural gas liquids, litigation update, dealing with FERC regulated pipelines, wage and hour issues, and the all-important concern with cybersecurity: how vulnerable are midstream gathering, transmission, and distribution assets? The program closes with one hour covering ethical issues related to internal corporate investigations.
We invite member law firms and companies to sponsor the social functions at the meeting. As a sponsor, your firm’s name will be displayed on the screens in the meeting room before the conference and during breaks. It will also be displayed on a poster display in the registration and break areas throughout the conference and reception.
